Solar Panel Swimming Pool Systems
Homemade Pool Heating, Spas & More..

Solar panels are more effective at raising large amounts of water a few degrees, than small
amounts lots of degrees! However you might be surprised at just how small is their output.
Solar panels for swimming pools are becoming more and more popular. Swimming pools can be heated using conventional solar tubes or solar panels or gas heater. Today, quit a few houses now have their own swimming pool, which can be enjoyed at different times of the day such as the pool parties, which can be fun. Swimming has always been connected with the art of healing as well as being considered an excellent form of exercise. If you're living in a hot countries, Great! you get to enjoy your pool all year round. However, the majority of pool owners only get to enjoy their swimming pool only during summer time or end up spending a substancial amount in natural gas to heat their swimming pools. Swimming pools are generally not used in other seasons (i.e. Spring, Autumn and Winter) as the water is at a cold temperature. Some pool heating solar panels are specially designed for swimming pool heating systems - heating swimming pools. These panels are to the environmental friendly, unlike the gas heater (which you can use gas cylinders or require a boiler with a connection to the gas network) that can contribute to global warming. These pool solar panels can cut the cost of your gas bills substancialy. Pool Solar heating are powered using the sun's natural rays. These pool panels will not release any pollution or harmful effects into the environment during their use. However, Pool Solar Panels are usually sited on a roof to absorb more of the sun's energy. The pool water heater will circulate through a large heat exchange surface that will collect the heat. Pool solar panels are manufactured from plastic to resist corrosion and make them suited to the British UK/ European union/ American USA climates. By installing these pool solar panels you are making an investment which will continue to pay dividends for an average age of 15 - 20 years. The initial investment for this panel can be regained as you will definitely see your utility bills being slash lower. These pool solar panels will bring an improvement to your lifestyle allowing you to enjoy your pool, any day! any time! alone and with guests, while caring for the environment. Sometimes the little things like getting to enjoy more more pool time with your friends and family can make all the difference. Do It Yourself (DIY) solar kits are an easy and affordable way to heat your pool, without the expense of a full professional installation. One simple theory on solar panels is that they are a waste of time on a house as you generally want lots of hot water in the colder months for heating when the sun don't shine. But if you want hot water in the summer on your outdoor pool when the sun is supposed to shine. What then? When looking into this problem, I came up with this model. Solar panels are about £500 each and depending on the size of your pool you will probably require a minimum of 6 panels. These need to be in a circuit that feeds a heat exchanger in your pool pump outlet. The heat exchanger should be stainless steel and can be found on ebay for about £300. You need a seperate circuit ( expansion vessel and controller so all-in-all with the panels a DIY kit will cost you about £3500. Take a look at the Navitron.com website and this will give you all the information you need. a local plumber qouted me £600 to fit it. For example, if your pool covers approximately 42 sq metres. You will need solar panels equivalent to approximate 60 - 80% of this, so probably around 30sq metres of solar panels will do. Remember, there are different sorts of panels too. The black rubber ones that just use the suns heat (which don't work when cloudy) and the glass covered ones, that use the suns UV Rays. Whilst the black rubber type ones are much cheaper to buy, I'm not sure which are most cost effective to recommended. A friend of mine bought second hand 8 panels a few years ago out from the E&M. The panels are about 7ft by 3ft. They are glass boxes with Matt Black Aluminum collecters with five stainlees steel pipes running straight though each one (aprroximately 35mm diameter). He covered the pool with a polythene tunnel greenhouse - because they have a lot of trees and leaves on the area. It was the cheapest option for him. He mounted the panels in a long line down the center of the roof under the polythene. The water is taken from the pool pump oulet down the two outer pipes of the panels and back again along the three innner pipes (a trip of about 80ft). A valve contols the flow through the panels so that the ouput is always two degrees hotter than the input. This means the hotter the heat gain, the more flows - postive feedback. The panels can become radiators if the pool temperature is greater than the solar gain. Yu may ask - Does it work? Yes! On a hot day the first water through is steaming and most of the time the valve is fully open showing maximizing the postive gain. The tunnel greenhouse is 30 Centigrade plus in the summer. He Planted two vines at one end for sun shade over a patio area inside greenhouse and now harvest about 70lb of grapes each year for wine & eating. He also made good for barbecues out of the rain. The stanless steel pipes are unaffected by the chlorine water. Total cost £200 panels, £1000 greenhouse (20m by 6m) but a few years ago. He built the valve and electronics and is controlled by an old laptop (using Intel 80386 processor) along with a few other things like the pool pump and plant watering. He is about 30M miles from Manchester not the best place for sun and solar energy. So if you can get the bits cheap and you can DIY a bit - its well worth it. Below is the guide to the data YOU NEED to determine feasibility, to design a system, or to request a quote from a supplier. |

Testimonials About The Earth 4 Energy Product Reviews: " Feedback & Testimonials #1 Hi Michael, I must say that you have really done a great job with your manual. I created my first power generating windmill over the weekend! I am actually writing to your right now on my laptop which is being powered by my windmill!! I'm going to add some extra batteries this weekend so that it lasts longer. By the way, I managed to pickup 4 batteries for free like you told me ;) Thanks buddy Kim Saunders Hi Michael, How are you? I have attached a picture of my latest solar panel. It's an 80 watt panel and I have used an alloy frame. It took me a couple of weekends to make and I am really happy with the results. I also put my laptop in front of the panel with the earth4energy web site on it for you. :) Let me know what you think! Best, Frank B. Hi Michael, I really enjoyed watching the videos about joining the solar cells. Very simple to follow. Good job! Thank you, Adam Sands, California Hi Michael, Thanks for the detailed guide. I made my first windmill on the weekend and I am just letting you know its going great! I could not have done it without your detailed diagrams. All I need to do now is to paint the end of the blades like the one on your web site and fix it properly to my roof. I am actually going to make a few of these so I can eliminate my power bill completely! Thanks again, Mark Monarsh, Aus " |

Testimonials About The Home Made Energy Product Reviews: " I'm so glad I tried your system. I made my first solar panel this weekend and I wanted to let you know it's awesome. With your diagrams work was a breeze. Only one panel saves me a big chunk of electricity. Next weekend I'll do another one. Most likely with 2 or 3 of these I will be able to eliminate my electric bill for good. Thank you very much, Terry Rains, Michigan" "Hi Bill, Thanks for your step-by-step guide. Using the HomeMadeEnergy guide me and my son have built our own wind mill. We couldn't believe our eyes how easy it is to make your own energy. Now, after 3 wind mills, we're completely using our own energy for our home. And it's nice to see how you credit the electric company. Thanks again for providing this to us, Jason Hutto, Nevada " |

Testimonials About The Energy 2 Green Product Reviews: " Feedback & Testimonials #1 I am 68 years old and living on a fixed incme. Rising costs on just about everything from food and gas to my utilites were robbing me of having any money to spend on my grandchildren - something had to give or I was going to have to sell my house! An old buddy of mine from the army called me up one day and told me he built a couple of solar panels using your book and was now getting paid by the electric company each month - so I decided to give it a try. I now have built 3 solar panels for myself and sold almost a dozen to friends and family with the help of my grandchildren who love helping me make them - I can't believe everyone isn't doing this! Thank you!" Edward Kreps, Winslow, AZ" |
